On March 22, 2025, our founder, Fii Stephen facilitated an AI training for MTN Nigeria at their Quarterly Customer Experience Training. The session was led by the Network Enterprise Solutions (NES) Department in collaboration with the Customer Relations and Experience Unit and the FBB team.
About 500 people attended, including the Chief Technical Officer for Network Group MTN Nigeria, Yahaya Ibrahim, and the NES General Manager. Over 15 partner companies were also represented across engineers, installers, support teams, and operational leads.
The session focused on how AI can simplify repetitive tasks in daily operations, and our founder, Fii Stephen walked participants through practical applications they could start using immediately in their work.
Why This Matters
MTN is one of Africa’s largest telecommunications companies and has been a pioneer in adopting AI across their operations, integrating AI into their network management, customer service systems, and operational workflows long before it became an industry trend. They understand that staying ahead means preparing their people, not just their technology.
That’s why they brought 500 people together for this training, not just MTN internal staff, but engineers, installers, support teams, and operational leads from over 15 partner companies.
As a business owner or executive, MTN investing this much in equipping their teams with AI capabilities shows how important AI is becoming in the business sector.
The 500 people who attended the session returned to their work ready to apply what they learned. Hours of manual work become minutes of automated processes. Scattered workflows become streamlined systems. Reports that took days to compile now happen in real time.
When you train an entire ecosystem at once, from internal teams to vendor partners across 15+ companies, everyone speaks the same language about AI. That shared capability accelerates how fast change happens across the company.
Making AI Education Accessible
At the AI Literacy Academy, we’ve trained people from 13+ countries through our cohort programs. We’ve worked with solo freelancers building global businesses and major companies preparing their entire teams for an AI-driven future, and this MTN training was another opportunity to do what we do best as our founder delivered practical, actionable AI skills to 500 participants at once.
The participants left ready to transform how they work, equipped with frameworks they can apply immediately to their daily operations.
Training like this helps us do what we love most, create a world where AI capabilities are available to anyone willing to learn, no matter their industry, location, or role.
Special gratitude to Oluwatumininu Adepoju, Senior Manager for NES Solutions Design and Delivery, for leading this initiative. The vision behind this kind of cross-functional training is what makes transformation real.
