AI Literacy Academy Celebrates it 3rd Cohort Graduation: Expanding Africa’s Global AI Impact

AI Literacy Academy Cohort 3 Graduation with over 200 professionals and business owners across Africa gaining practical AI skills

From Ambition to Achievement in Just 30 Days

What does 30 days of focused learning look like?

For the 205 learners in the AI Literacy Academy Cohort 3 Graduation, it looked like websites launched, businesses created, brands designed, and lives reshaped.

For them, this graduation wasn’t the end. It was the proof.

Proof of more that they can do with AI.

From Nigeria to the United Kingdom, Ghana to Malawi, Liberia to Cameroon, professionals, freelancers, and business owners joined this cohort with one goal: to learn how to use AI better than the way they already did and use it to get better results, whether it was in their workplaces, businesses, or personal growth.

By the time graduation day arrived, the results they had produced spoke louder than any speech.

Since Cohort 1, the Academy has been committed to giving practical AI literacy to our learners — and it has been progress step by step. Cohort 2 raised the bar. And AI Literacy Academy’s 3rd Cohort went even further, with bigger results from our students, bolder challenges, and impact that was impossible to ignore.

Voices That Defined AI literacy Academy Cohort 3 Graduation

Held on September 6, the graduation opened with our facilitator giving graduates a blueprint for the next 30 days — how to focus, apply what they’ve learned, and see even bigger results in their fields.

Then came the valedictorian’s voice.

Harrison Aletile, who was selected by his peers for his passion and commitment during the 30 days, reflected on the challenges, the late nights, and the breakthroughs. His words carried pride, but also responsibility — that what they’d learned wasn’t for themselves alone, but for the workplaces, clients, and communities they’d now serve.

Ann Ene Agbo, the Academy Manager, followed with warmth and energy. She praised the dedication of Cohort 3, pointing out how this group had pushed harder and collaborated more than any before them. Her reminder was simple: “Graduation isn’t an ending. It’s the beginning of what you’ll do with this knowledge.”

Stories That Show Real Impact

The difference with AI Literacy Academy Cohort 3 wasn’t just the structure, it was how passionate the learners were — and how quickly learning turned into outcomes.

Here are some of the amazing things we saw:

  • Emmanuel and Abiodun each built fully working websites within their first days.
  • One graduate, who chose to stay anonymous, generated over ₦1 million in his business in a single month using AI tools.
  • Grace designed brand visuals and marketing assets to launch her business.
  • Rafiat produced a full animated storybook powered by AI.
  • Harrison streamlined operations in his business, improving efficiency and saving costs.

It was the clearest sign yet: when AI education is made practical, results don’t take years. They happen in weeks.

Learning Beyond The Classes

Part of what made this cohort so dynamic was how the learning was structured. For the first time, the Academy introduced a 15-Day Implementation Challenge — and learners responded with action, producing results in real time as they implemented what they had learned.

Every day, prompts like “Did you study today? What did you learn?” sparked accountability. Study groups grew more active, and projects started appearing faster than ever. The routine shifted from “watching” to “doing,” and by graduation day, the results were everywhere to see.

That’s how AI literacy guides our students — we teach them theory, but emphasize daily practice because that’s how they truly make it part of their work and lives. It’s the difference between lectures and practical AI training programs that change how you actually work.

Voices From the Cohort

Testimonials gave the ceremony its heartbeat. Pius admitted the program stretched him but praised the structure that kept him going. Nifemi said it gave him clarity he could immediately share with others. Hillary highlighted the power of prompts in sharpening AI communication. Cynthia, a doctor of mechanical engineering, explained how she used her training to make presentations clearer and more human.

Each story was different, but the message was the same: AI skills for professionals in Africa are no longer optional — they’re already transforming careers and businesses today.

The Starting Line for Bigger Wins

As the AI Literacy Academy Cohort 3 Graduation wrapped, the message wasn’t about closing a chapter alone — it was about opening the next one too.

Cohort 3 graduates leave with job-ready AI skills, a community to support them, and the confidence to lead in a fast-changing world.

From Cohort 2 to today, the Academy’s graduates have shown that AI education in Africa doesn’t need to wait to join the global AI economy. It’s already contributing, one project and one professional at a time.

And with global recognition — from being selected into INSEAD’s Founder Sprint to Mastercard Foundation’s FAST program — the Academy continues to prove its role in building Africa’s next generation of innovators. This is how Global AI Impact begins: locally, with individuals ready to lead.

What our graduates achieved in 30 days is just the beginning. Imagine what you could do with the same tools, support, and structure. Take your place in the next AI Literacy Academy cohort at ailiteracyacademy.org to learn how to use AI to transform the way you work and build.
